Admission to the first year follows a common entrance exam for all four School campuses. The entrance exam takes place every April in Rennes. Students who pass the entrance exam may register at the School.
Read more about the entrance exam (main EESAB website).
Admission during the course is subject to an interview by a panel. The equivalence panel sessions are for students from other higher education establishments (BTS, university, foreign schools, etc.). The admissions panel sessions are for students from French higher arts schools (including EESAB students).
Panel sessions for admission to the Quimper campus:
- Joint equivalence panel session for the School’s four campuses: March 11, 2015 (for non-arts school students only).
One application may be sent to apply for more than one School campus.

- Equivalence and admissions panel session: June 18, 2015 (for all).
Students may register at the School after passing the First Year entrance exam or following a favourable ruling by a panel. The registration application form must be downloaded during June.
EESAB-Quimper campus students must re-register each year. Completed applications must be returned in early July (date pending).
Fees (2012/2013 academic year):
- € 500 registration fees for years 1, 2 and 3
- € 425 registration fees for years 4 and 5

Registration fees are payable by all students, including those on grants.
Student Social Security
Registration with a Social Security scheme is mandatory for students aged 16 and over. The appropriate fund depends on the age of the student and the profession of their parents. Cover will be provided either by student Social Security bodies (SMEBA or LMDE) or parents’ Social Security funds. Students eligible for student Social Security cover may not continue to be covered by their parents’ fund. Registration with a Social Security scheme takes place on administrative registration. The tuition office forwards applications to the relevant Social Security bodies.
View the general terms and conditions of registration on the health scheme website.
French students and students from EU Member States aged under 28 may be entitled to means-tested grants. Applications must be made online on the Rennes Crous website (www.crous-rennes.fr). The application deadline is generally at the end of April for the following academic year.
