The school gives public classes to raise the awareness of a broad art-loving public about contemporary artistic practices. These classes are given in the school and in off-site venues: Ergué-Armel, Kerfeunteun, Moulin Vert and Penhars community centres and Abeilles local community centre.
Experimentation and progressivity
Children and teens aged 6 to 19 are divided up into age groups.
The teaching artists guide the development of personal expression by learning how to make the hand follow the eye, taking into consideration each person’s aptitudes. Experimentation and thinking are the order of the day – these become more complex as the pupils get older.
The seven artist teachers offer over twenty different class times covering drawing, painting, colour, collage, 3D work, installation, and so on. Classes take place after 5pm on weekdays and all day on Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.
